REALTORS® as Volunteers

Arleen Boyd - Owner Broker.  I am a highly trained paramedic that serves with the Norwood Fire Department as E.M.T. Trainer and coordinator.  I teach life saving techniques in classes throughout Colorado as an instructor.  I make several ambulance runs a week as a paramedic.  I have served in this capacity for the past 15 years.

Chris Binner - I am a member of the Telluride Rotary Club, past President 3 years ago. And I am a member of the Telluride Planning and Zoning Commission since 2001.  I am on the board of Pinhead Institute.

Harley Brooke-Hitching - I have served on Town Council, and I have been a Trustee of One to One for 8 years.

Scott Bennett - I have been a member of the Telluride Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years and am currently the 1st Assistant Chief and have been the head of Fireworks since 2004. I continue to volunteer for the Telluride Ski and Snowboard club, with 12 years as a coach and 12 years of fundraising events including the Killer Flank booth at Bluegrass and the Pizza booth at Blues and Brews.

Sue Berg - I have been a mentor with the One to One Program, for the past 7 years. I am a volunteer with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program, including both summer and winter programs and fundraising. I volunteer monthly for the TAR Senior luncheons at Christ Church. In the past I have volunteered time to The Telluride Historical Museum, San Miguel County Search and Rescue, TAR Highway cleanup, TAR Habitat for Humanity, Mountain Film, Jazz Festival and Telluride Film Festival.

Sally Puff Courtney – I am a board member and trustee for the One to One mentoring program.  I am a trustee for the Choral Society.  Also, I am involved in Young Life and the Telluride Rep.

Steve Cieciuch - I am currently a mentor in the One to One program, chair the Butts Memorial Golf Tournament to benefit the Ski Club and I am an Ah Haa School board of trustee. 

Rosie Cusack - I have had the great pleasure for supporting, donating to and working with the following non-profit organizations for the past 14 years here in Telluride. Telluride Aids Benefit, Telluride Adaptive Sports Foundation, The Telluride Foundation, TCTV 12 Telluride Public Television, Rainbow Preschool Program, San Miguel Resource Center, Telluride Repertory Theater Company, Sparky Production, KOTO Telluride Community/ Public Radio, Telluride Youth Center, TCAH/ Telluride Center for Arts and Humanities, Telluride Historical Museum, Telluride Medical Center Fund, Telluride Youth Sports Organizations/ Parks & Rec and Telluride Academy.

Dirk De Pagter - I am the former Chairperson and current Board Member of Marketing Telluride, Inc. (M.T.I.), the Tourism Board. I am also a Board Member of the Telluride/Montrose Regional Air Organization. And last but the most popular with the kids...SANTA!

Brigitte De Pagter Kusuno- I am a volunteer board member for the not for profit preschool Telluride Early Childhood Center and a member of the Early Childhood taskforce.

Dan Dockray - Volunteer for San Miguel Search and Rescue.  I participate in all levels of our local rescues in winter and summer.

Andrew Dolese - I am a member of the Town of Telluride Planning and Zoning commission since 2006, Volunteer for Telluride Mountain Film, 5 years, Telluride Jazz Celebration, 6 years and captain for Telluride Wine Festival, 3 years.

Teddy Errico - Vice President Lizard Head Hockey Club, Head Coach Telluride High School Hockey, Artist Production Director Telluride Blues and Brews and Producer Telluride Cajun Festival.

Rube Felicelli - Mountain Village Town Council 1999-2007, Mayor Pro Tem 2001-2007, Mayor 2007. San Miguel Power Association District 5 Director; San Miguel Bicycle Alliance Executive Board; Chairman Mountain Village Open Space and Recreation Advisory Board; Past President Telluride Council for the Arts and Humanities; Manager for Mountainfilm in Telluride and the Telluride Film Festival.

Donna Fernald - Is an active EMT who volunteers a lot of time.

Dave Flatt - Mountain Village Owners Association, Elected Director on the Board of Directors from 1987 to 2005, Mountain Village Metropolitan District, Elected Director on the Board of Directors from 1990 to 2004, Co-Chairman for the Committee to form the Town of Mountain Village 1993 to 1995, Elected to the Town Council of Mountain Village from 1995 to 2003 where I also served as Vice Mayor and Mayor.

Elizabeth Foley - I am a One to One Study Buddy for a first grader learning to read.  I have volunteered for the Wine Festival for the past six years, and organized other volunteers as Event Captain for the past 3 years.  I served 2 two-year terms as a member of HARC, and I have helped out with the Senior Luncheons.  I have also volunteered for the Norwood Roping Club that puts on the San Miguel County Rodeo.  And I volunteer for the San Juan Riding Program for adaptive horseback riding.  I volunteered for the Telluride Aids Benefit for 2 years, and the Telluride Fur Ball to benefit the Humane Society.  I have enjoyed volunteering as a State Director for TAR 2007.

Rick Fusting - Senior luncheons at Christ Church, provide transportations for for the elderly, One to One mentor for about 9 years and now currently the President of the One to One Board.  Top fundraiser for the Just for Kids Foundation in 2004.  Nature Conservancy.  KOTO.  Selection Committee for Quest Scholarship Program, which will fund local kids for the full four years.

Janice Gerona - I'm on the Accountability Committee at the Telluride High School

Scott Gillies - I teach part time in the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program, skiing and kayaking/ rafting.  I am PSIA Adaptive Level 2 certified, meaning I am certified to teach the following disciplines through intermediate capabilities (level 6 of 9):  cognitive/ blind;  3 track/ 4 track (standup amputees, other disabilities requiring one or two skis plus one or two outriggers);  and biski/monoski (e.g. amputees, para/quadriplegic).  I was formerly a youth soccer and a little league coach.

Nancy Hild - President of the One to One board, which I am very proud of.  I volunteer in the classroom at the elementary school.  

Kristin Hughes - I volunteer at the Telluride Historical Museum, as well as I volunteer as the food coordinator for the Ah Haa Art auction annually.

Pete Johnson - Fire fighter-5 years, church elder, "Just for Kids" Ranch homeowners board member, junior achievement instructor, past chair of the Positive Alternative Team-Telluride schools, founder of the school drug education week, Rotary member, Ski Ranch homeowners board , soccer coach, cub scout leader.  I currently co-chair the rec. center advisory committee and serve as a board member of Little Cone Homeowners Assoc.  I also serve as a board member of the Sundt Foundation which produced the video Natural High II sent to every school in the country (over 100,000) and working on preproduction of Natural High III.

Jeanne Josey - I volunteer to help with the Sr. luncheons & drive Seniors’ to Doctor appointments, PO, grocery, etc.   I also helped w/ the highway cleanup recently.   I am a former SAR volunteer. ( I started the Avalanche dog program here in Telluride). I am also an EMT with the Telluride Fire Department.

Alan Lewis - 18 years on the TRAA board; two years as vice president adaptive ski program; two years as president of the Telluride Rotary Club; trainer for Scout aviation merit badges; 20 year member and participant Angel Flight program; 13 year volunteer aviation oriented SAR; Three years Telluride ski instructor; 10 years Telluride adaptive volunteer; four years Mountain Film volunteer; three years off and on Telluride Choral Society.

Jill Masters - I've been involved with Telluride Fire District Emergency Medical Service for over 20 years, as a paramedic for Telluride Fire District and as training officer. Also, I was involved with Search and Rescue for almost 10 years. I am currently Telluride town council member.

Susan McCormick - I have been volunteering with the senior lunches and the TAR senior ride program.  In addition, I help each year with the Rainbow Preschool fundraiser and the San Miguel Resource Center's Chocolate Lover's Fling.

Kelly McGinty - I am a board member for the San Juan Riding Program (SJRP), promoting equine facilitated therapy and activities for people with disabilities.  The Program provides quality recreational experiences and makes the outdoors accessible by utilizing teaching techniques.  These interactions with horses promote opportunities for beneficial improvement of physical, emotional and cognitive well-being to improve quality of life. 

Karen Clark- I organize the Business Professional Women (BPW/USA) Camp BPW for inner city disadvantaged youth, an annual day camp for teen at-risk girls. She is also National BPW Young Careerist chair, a mentoring and leadership program, and Colorado State BPW Legislative Chairman. I am also a Town of Telluride Town Council to the Board of Appeals member.

Jim Nerlin ­ - I am a member of the board of directors for the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program and very active in fund raising for this organization.

JJ Ossola - 2001 to present, San Miguel County Historic Commission.

Albert Roer - Treasurer of the Telluride Hospital District Board.

Ed Roufa - Currently Vice Chairman (take that any way you want) of the Telluride Regional Airport Authority and have been on the board for 12 years.

Michael Saftler- I was elected to the San Miguel Power Association Board of Directors in 2008, I helped establish a Community Garden in 2008, since 1976 I have been the local Rabbi and sit on the Board of the Telluride Jewish Community. I am the Vice chair and sit on the central committee of the San Miguel County Democratic Party. I organized a peace march with County Commissioner Art Goodtimes starting on October 11, 2001 and we have been marching on the 11th of the month every month since then. In 1977, I began accumulating and dispensing free clothes and house wares on North Pine St. and that became the free box. I am one of the founding members of an international human rights organization called World Women for Life at wwfl.org. In 2008, I started Tellurideblog.com as a community service. I am a founding member of a new Telluride festival/symposium called Telluride Advocacy Coalition.

Eric Saunders - One to One Mentor and Just For Kids Board Member.

Mike Shimkonis   - President of the Mountainfilm Board of Directors. With the help of a handful of other Realtors we created the Telluride First-Time Homebuyers Program. Former MLS Director for the Telluride Association of Realtors. Donate to Just For Kids, Ah Haa, San Miguel Resource Center and other local charities.

Garrett Simon – I coach Boys Soccer.

Craig Snitko - I've been a volunteer with the Telluride Adaptive Sports Program for five years and this will be my sixth season. 

Daniel Tucker - Associate Broker serves on the Norwood Water Commission, The Norwood Planning and Zoning Board and is Founder and Board Member of the Ah Haa School of the Arts.

David Wadley - I am a Captain with the Telluride fire dept. I serve as a member of the Telluride Planning and Zoning commission. I am Chair of the Telluride Fire Department Scholarship Committee.  I am Co Chair of the Legislative Committee for TAR.

Michael Ward - I have been on the Hockey board of directors for 4 years and a Coach for the U19 girls team for the past 2 years. I have also been on the Parks and Rec. board for the past 3 years and I was a volunteer fireman for 7 years.

Larry/Debbie Woddell – Larry has been a behind the scenes help for many years for the Telluride AIDS Benefit.  Deb is actively involved and recruits Larry to help with support across a wide range of topics and to provide great business guidance.  High Country Properties also provides financial support.  Additionally, we contribute both time and funding to other organizations in the Telluride, Ridgway and Montrose communities.

Joanne Young- I have been an on-snow volunteer with TASP (Telluride Adaptive Sports Program) for 7 years; served on the board for 4 years and have been chair of their fund raising auction/dance for 3 years, raising a record $70,000 net to benefit TASP.  I am the current President of the Telluride Women's Network and served on the Aldasoro Design Review Board for 5 years.

Christie Harrison- I am Past President and current Board Member of the Telluride 4th of July Parade Committee, a member of the Telluride Rotary Club, and Vice President and Director of University Centers of the San Miguel.  I also teach a college freshman history class in Telluride through UCSM, as an adjunct professor of Mesa State College. Nationally I am President of the Council of Scottish Clans & Associations. Additionally, I am a Director of The Scottish Coalition USA and a member of The Caledonian Foundation USA, Scottish Heritage USA,

Scottish District Families Association, and the Celtic Society of Western Colorado.  In these positions I have been fortunate to participate in the planning and organization of The Gathering 2009, to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland in July. 

Brian O'Neill- I am a Board Member on the Telluride Foundation & Telluride Open Space Board.

Keith Brown  - Chairperson of the Telluride Fowler-Boskoff Search Committee (China search for Telluride climbers) in 2006-7 and director of the search for John McLaughlin (Norway) in 2008.

Sally Field- I have volunteered my time, over the past three years, introducing, organizing and implementing Non Toxic Weed Control and Tree/Forest Health practices and education in the Telluride region.

Mark Dollard- I am the Chair of the Telluride Ecology Commission, 2007 - present, The KOTO DJ and Committed Volunteer, 2004 - present, A Senior Lunch Volunteer, 2004 - present, and the Adjunct Professor Mesa State College for the University Centers of the San Miguel, 2008 - present

Steve Hilbert- I am a past President of Telluride Alpine Racing Team, a past Design Review Board member (two terms, part of the second as chair), and I served on the first Mountain Village Town council. Currently I am a youth soccer coach for the 20th year!, and a founding and current Board member of PAPA (the Public Access Preservation Association.)
