I have enjoyed volunteering as a State Director for TAR 2007.

I was elected to the San Miguel Power Association Board of Directors in 2008, I helped establish a Community Garden in 2008, since 1976 I have been the local Rabbi and sit on the Board of the Telluride Jewish Community. I am the Vice chair and sit on the central committee of the San Miguel County Democratic Party. I organized a peace march with County Commissioner Art Goodtimes starting on October 11, 2001 and we have been marching on the 11th of the month every month since then. In 1977, I began accumulating and dispensing free clothes and house wares on North Pine St. and that became the free box. I am one of the founding members of an international human rights organization called World Women for Life at wwfl.org. In 2008, I started Tellurideblog.com as a community service. I am a founding member of a new Telluride festival/symposium called Telluride Advocacy Coalition.

Joanne Young- I have been an on-snow volunteer with TASP (Telluride Adaptive Sports Program) for 7 years; served on the board for 4 years and have been chair of their fund raising auction/dance for 3 years, raising a record $70,000 net to benefit TASP. I am the current President of the Telluride Women's Network and served on the Aldasoro Design Review Board for 5 years.
Christie Harrison- I am Past President and current Board Member of the Telluride 4th of July Parade Committee, a member of the Telluride Rotary Club, and Vice President and Director of University Centers of the San Miguel. I also teach a college freshman history class in Telluride through UCSM, as an adjunct professor of Mesa State College. Nationally I am President of the Council of Scottish Clans & Associations. Additionally, I am a Director of The Scottish Coalition USA and a member of The Caledonian Foundation USA, Scottish Heritage USA,
Scottish District Families Association, and the Celtic Society of Western Colorado. In these positions I have been fortunate to participate in the planning and organization of The Gathering 2009, to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland in July.
