TAR
is committed to serving the diverse interests of real estate professionals
by helping the realtor keep what they earn, helping them become even more
professional at what they do, promoting their reputation and interests,
and keeping the REALTORŪ central to the real estate transaction. TAR owns
and operates the Telluride Multiple Listing Service. This is the most
desired tool in the industry and is among many of the benefits TAR provides
its members. Licensed real estate brokers who are members of TAR, are
therefore involved in a three-way agreement between the local, state and
National Association of REALTORS.
TAR currently has 242 REALTOR
members, while CAR (state) has over
20,000 and N.A.R. (National) has over 1,000,000 REALTOR members. N.A.R. is the largest trade association
in the United States and the largest that we know of in the world. N.A.R
provides its members with professional resources and protects the real
estate industry by supporting legislation advantageous to its members
and home buyers and sellers.
